You can’t get further west than the ancient Celtic kingdom of Cornwall. The Cornish southwest has wild coastline and breathtakingly beautiful beaches.

Industries like mining, fishing and farming have all but disappeared, Cornwall  is now one of the nation’s creative corners.

Whether it’s exploring the space age domes of the Eden Project. Sun bathing on its many beautiful beaches. Even if you’ve seen St Ives many times before, it’s still hard not to be dazzled. You can look across its pretty jumble of slate roofs, church towers and turquoise bays. Once a busy pilchard harbour, St Ives later became the centre of Cornwall’s arts scene. By the 1920’s and 30’s the town became an artistic centre. There are numerous galleries and craft shops lining its winding cobbled streets.
